You make me want to try harder...

... you are just simply amazing. What's the FPS on this?

It's so damn smooth, the camera angles are pro, you're a master at choosing colors and your lines are so clean. How do you do that and still manage to put put out something like this in 6 weeks? Cleaning up my lines is such a chore and takes forever. Teach me, teach me to be more like you.

I am going to watch everything you have in your profile, then I'm gonna watch them again. When I'm done watching them, I'm gonna get back to animating and try to work my way up to your skill level. You have set my new high bar.

Easily a 5/5 10/10

Do the world a favor, don't ever stop animating.

Zeurel responds:

Cheers braw~

I usually float around 24-25 fps when i animate. 25 mostly when i animate with two's

5/5 10/10

Domestic violence is ALWAYS funny.

greatwh1teshark responds:

Well I'm glad you liked it.

Fantastically Strange!!!

The art wasn't exactly life like, but that was a strength not a weakness. It was quirky and the visuals weren't a literal translation of lyrics unlike what many amateurs do. I especially liked the open and close motion the flaming skull made wih his hands.... so creative.

Besides all that, I really loved the song. This was an absolute treat fo all the senses and I thank you for making it. I watched it 6 times... 5/5 9/10

Was Super Jail an influence on the art or is that just your usual style?

asthmatickitty responds:

Super Jail wasn't a direct influence. I've really only seen the pilot episode. I don't have cable.

I draw a lot, and the style just kind of materialized. I didn't really plan everything to a T. There was a lot of improvisation. If you want to see some of my drawings, go to tomdeslongchamp.com . There are fragments of the style in my drawings.

lolololol

I agree with the idea of this video, and I absolutly love that song. DVDA is made of win. But even you point out the simplicity of the video, so I give this a hearty 3/5 and 6/10.

Also, I find it a bit funny that you have the American flag and 'America Fuck Yeah' song in your video. But all your responses to the comments here have, the very French, "viva la resistance" in them.

LeafLock responds:

lol, you're actually the first person to mention that. kudos. but if you know your history, then you'll know that the French were fairly instrumental in helping early America to free itself from Britain.

viva la resistance!

also, I never said anything anti-China in this flash, but every one keeps saying "yeah, fuck the Chinese!" People are strange.

Very nice FBF animatics

The only marks against this (and they don't take away from your obvious skill at all) no sound, the motion is a bit clippy, and you apparently took this choreography from a tv show. You should try fleshing out your own sequence of movements, it's challenging but fun. I'm sure you'd be great at it.

This is really very good, I hope to see more from you.

3/5 7/10

RobCha1n responds:

I was thinking of putting in regular music but I thought a looping decent soundtrack in the background would make it sort of cheesy, but you're right, definitely gonna need audio next time.
I'll try that. ;]

And thanks, really appreciated.

Has viral potential

This at the very least deserves front page. I don't often get a chance to say that about something newly submited. It was pretty funny, mostly odd. I liked the FBF of everyone dancing, very quirky. 3/5 7/10

aap responds:

I hope it does... Gher 1 got frontpaged atleast...

Thanks!

Explain please...

... what was supposed to be ironic about poorly drawn characters and terrible shape tweens? And those 1 second text bubbles, was that irony too? Here's some irony, 2/10 2/5. I wait, that's not irony, it's just a harsh fact. Hmm, we both lack a fundamental understanding of what irony is... oh well.

Now for some constructive critisism:

Don't try to pass off pure laziness as humor, or irony, unless you're able to contrast it with some hard work.

Gorereo responds:

ITS A JOKE. Have you ever seen badly drawn dog?

2 of my favorite things

Halo and Monty Python, what a great mix. All though the characters didn't really convey anything through body language, and the video quality was poor, the camera angles were still good. And over all I think it was enjoyable, 6/10 3/5

Good work

MikeandTreyVideo responds:

Thank you for your comment. It is hard to choreograph when i have actors who live 50 plus miles away, but yes, i should have done more about my body language.

109 LAYERS!?!?!?

Wow, that sounds a little over board. Anyway, to the review. I don't really care for stick animations, unless the animater uses the time he didn't have to spend on character quality for parts like the story or kick ass battle scenes. You didn't really do much of any of that. This definitely was not the most intense thing I've ever seen, but I can see you did try to make something here. This wasn't some copy paste non-sense or half-assed project, you had an idea and you completed it to the best of your ability. So I give you 2/5 and 5/10 for this flash. Keep practicing and I can see you becoming a great animater.

cashleycool responds:

stfu will ya?

Pretty Damn Good

I liked the animation, very kewl style and well drawn. I only have one tip for u and that would be to boost the frame rate. It looked like u had it at about 12 FPS, if u make it around 15 or a lil higher it would be uber smooth. VERY good animation though.

Michelangelo responds:

it was actually at 42fps, if there is lag, just change the quality, thanks for the comment :)
